How to Clear and Level Land
Clearing land and leveling it for small projects, such as landscaping your backyard or setting up a park for local children, can be an easy community project. Larger-scale land clearing and leveling can be challenging to the overall environmental stability and the health of the landscape and may stress the species and ecosystems that abide in that environment. Using proper machinery and labor can make clearing land easy. Leveling land must be done with proper equipment. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Compile a group of 10 to 12 individuals who are strong enough to sustain moderate labor for one or two days while out in the sun.
-
2
Designate locations to each individual or group, to clear rocks, trash, roots and debris from that assigned region.
-
-
3
Discard the material that was collected by the group of workers in a safe and responsible way. Dig up and remove any old bushes, shrubs, small trees and large roots that remain in the area you are trying to clear.
-
4
Regrade the site with a shovel and rake, if this is a small project, to level the land. For larger projects, hire an equipment operator to bring a bulldozer with a scrapper blade, to push and pull dirt around as needed for optimal leveling.
