How to Find a Vonage Number

How to Find a Vonage Number thumbnail
Vonage uses the internet to make phone calls.

Vonage is a Voice Over Internet Protocol (VOIP) phone service which uses the internet to make phone calls instead of a telephone network. Your calls are routed over the internet instead of a telephone line. While land lines have a traditional phone directory, there is no phone directory (as of November, 2010) for VOIP numbers. If you want to find someone's Vonage number, you'll have to rely on third party databases.

Instructions

    • 1

Navigate to an internet VOIP directory or people search directory such as A1 People Search, Net Numbers, or Info Search's Reverse VOIP lookup (see Resources).

    • 2

Type the name of the person who you want the Vonage number for. In Net-Numbers, click on a drop down menu, select "United States."

    • 3

      Click "Search" or "Find."

Tips & Warnings

  • If you have called the VOIP number before: check your old phone records for the listing.
