How to Upgrade a Valentine 1 Radar Detector V1.7
The Valentine One radar detector was first introduced in 1992 to detect the presence of X, K and Ka band radar. The Valentine One is a high-end radar detector with unique features. Mike Valentine, the inventor of the Valentine One, holds the patent on using directional arrows to display the direction of the radar. Other features include front and back laser detection, enumeration of all the radar sources and an upgradeable firmware.

Enter the serial number on the bottom of your Valentine One detector into the upgrade box on the bottom of the Valentine One upgrade Web page using the link in Resources.

Review the information provided by the Web page and determine if your radar detector has an upgrade available.

Print the upgrade form at the Valentine One website (see Resources). Fill in the upgrade form with the appropriate information

Insert a piece of foam that covers the bottom of the box, providing a cushion to protect the detector. Place the radar detector in the middle of the box on top of the bottom piece of foam. Fill the remainder of the box with foam to keep movement of the detector to a minimum.

Place the upgrade form on top of the foam and close the box, securing it with clear tape.
