How to Send a Hallmark E-card

An environmentally-friendly counterpart to the paper greeting card, the electronic card (e-card) helps keep people connected without worrying about the cost of postage or a trip to the mailbox. Available for just about any occasion, e-card selections can be found on numerous websites, often free of charge. Send fun and original greeting cards electronically to family and friends using the e-card shop provided by Hallmark Cards, Inc.

Instructions

1. Access the Hallmark website at http://www.hallmark.com, click "Shop by Product," and select "E-cards."

2. Browse the categories, and select the type of card you wish to send from the list located on the left side of the screen. Categories include thank you, birthday, holidays, humor and special occasions. You can sort and review the results by price, feature and tone. Some cards are free; others cost 99 cents and up.

3. Select a card and add a customized message, then click "Address & Send."

4. Enter the date you want the e-card delivered, then complete the sender and recipient information before clicking the "Proceed to Checkout" button.

5. Enter your Hallmark account login information or create an account if you don't already have one. If you don't want to create an account, you can proceed to checkout as a guest. Credit card payment information is required, except when selecting a free card.

6. Review the card and confirm the message information before sending.

Tips & Warnings

• Hallmark offers a subscription for $9.99 per month that allows for the unlimited sending of e-cards w/o paying the per-card fee. You will need to download and install Smilebox when creating photo cards.
