Baby shampoo is gentle enough to use on CDs. Pour a small amount of the baby shampoo into a bowl containing lukewarm water. Dip the soft, cotton cloth in the mixture, and gently rub it from the inner hole to the outside edge of the CD. Pat dry with a clean cotton cloth. This process removes dirt and grease and prepares the CD for the next step.

Tips & Warnings
If the CD still doesn't work after this process, repeat steps 3, 4, 5 and 6.
Refrain from rubbing the baby shampoo or peanut butter onto the CD in a circular motion; this can result in permanent damage to the CD.
Never use crunchy peanut butter because the coarse pieces of nut will scratch the CD's surface.
Never attempt to dry the CD using heated appliances.
