Instructions

      Back the truck up so that the end of the log faces the back of the truck.

      Lift one end of the log and place it on the truck bed.

      Attach the rope to the elevated end of log and the forward part of the truck bed. This will prevent the log from falling back or rolling off in the following step.

      Lift the lower end while simultaneously sliding the log onto the truck bed.

Tips & Warnings

  • Half-inch rope works well for this task because it allows for easy tying and untying. It also provides excellent grip.

  • When working with heavy logs, double-check everything and have an escape route should it begin to fall.
