Small Handmade Thank You Gift Projects for Christian Women
Thanking people for their help or expressing kindness is one of the most important things we can do for others. Thank-you gifts don't need to be expensive or even purchased. Handmade gifts carry the added knowledge that you put energy, effort and creativity into your gift giving. Nancy Twigg in "Million Dollar Gift Giving" says handmade gifts show the recipient you chose to give them a precious commodity--your time. A simple picture in an artful frame, a small gift basket or a personalized bookmark are creative and inexpensive ways to express your gratitude to anyone.

Instructions
-
A Puzzling Thank You
-
1
Spray the front side of the blank puzzle with the spray adhesive, following the manufacturer's instructions.
-
2
Center the photograph over the puzzle and carefully press it down with the wrong side of the photo against the front of the puzzle. If the photo is larger than the puzzle, trim the excess flush with the edges.
-
-
3
Turn the puzzle over and place it on the cutting board. Write a thank-you message with a colorful marker on the back. Using the utility knife, cut in the puzzle piece lines, being careful not to tear the photo.
-
4
Place the jumbled pieces in a gift box and deliver your specialized thank-you.
Photo Variation
-
5
Remove the matte from the outer frame. Using a colorful marker, write your favorite scripture verse about thankfulness on the bottom center of the matte.
-
6
Decorate the outer edges of the matte with stickers specifically selected for the recipient. Create a beach or nature scene, make a festive party design or highlight a favorite hobby.
-
7
Tape the photograph in the matte with double stick tape to prevent it from shifting. Place it in the outer frame.
-
8
Wrap your gift in attractive paper and include a handwritten thank-you note.
Favorite Things Collection
-
9
Select an attractive container and fill it with the recipient's favorite things. For the gardener, fill a flower pot with seed packets, garden gloves, hand lotion and decorative plant markers. Tea or coffee lovers would enjoy a cloth-lined basket filled with small tins of tea or specialty coffee and homemade scones. Gather fancy pens, note cards and whimsical sticky note pads and stuff a decorative desk organizer for a busy mom.
-
10
Wrap your gift collection in cellophane wrap and tie with a bright bow.
-
11
Attach a tag with a verse about good gifts. Consider 2 Cor. 9:10 or Proverbs 11:24.
Personalized Bookmark
-
12
Cut a strip of poster board measuring 2 x 8 inches.
-
13
Print a design using a purchased rubber stamp at the top of the bookmark. Color the design with markers.
-
14
Write a scripture verse in bold script using a calligraphy pen. Choose verses on friendship, thanksgiving or faithfulness.
-
15
Place your bookmark in a card expressing your gratitude.

Tips & Warnings
Use photos of your friend, her children or the two of you together. If you don't have any good photographs, use pictures of flowers or nature scenes.
When using spray adhesive, double check your placement and slowly lower the photo onto the puzzle pieces. The adhesive will stick immediately and you will not be able to move the photo once the surfaces make contact.
