How to Insert Trash Liners for a Round Step Trash Can

Round step trash cans are relatively simple to use versus the standard trash can. Unlike standard trash cans where you fold the trash liner over the top edge in hopes that it would not fall, round step trash cans use a set of notches to secure the trash liner. When inserting trash liners for a round step trash can correctly you never need to worry about the bag dropping inside the trash can completely as you place trash inside. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

    • 1

Lift the trash can lid by hand to the fully opened position. Lift the inner liner up out of the main can and rest it at an angle inside the can. The outer liner has notches on each side to allow for quick grasping of the inner can liner.

    • 2

Place the trash liner inside of the inner liner allowing the upper 4 inches of the bag to stay above the inner liner.

    • 3

Gather the trash liner on two sides where the bag tuck openings are on the inner liner. The bag tuck openings are tabs that bend on the side of the inner liner that secure the trash liner. Insert the gathered portion of the trash liner into the bag tuck openings.

    • 4

Lower the inner liner into the main can and lower the trash can lid.

Tips & Warnings

  • Some low-end step trash can do not have the notches on the inner liner. Simply fold the top of the trash liner over the edge of the inner liner and insert the inner liner back into the trash can.
