How to Check Domain Tools
Domain Tools is a website that can be used to obtain various information about specific domain names. You can use it to find out who owns a domain, when a domain expires, and even how many domains are associated with a certain name or company. Running a basic whois search to find out domain contact information is free; however more advanced reports are available for a fee.

Obtain the URL of the site you want to check. Write down or memorize the URL of the website that you want to check on Domain Tools.

Go to the Domain Tool's website (see Resource).

Enter the URL or web address of the site that you want to check in the box that says "Whois Lookup." Press "search," and wait for the information to load.

Review the information. After the search is complete, you will be able to see the name of the person who owns the domain, the associated address, phone number, and email. You will also see the name of the servers where the site is hosted as well as when the domain was registered and when it expires.

If you want to check to see how many domains a person or a company owns, use the Reverse Whois search. There is a fee attached to this service, which depends on how many records are retrieved.
In order to see how many domains are hosted on a specific IP address, you can use the reverse IP tool. You must know the IP address you want to check in order to run a search.
