How to Install Cisco IOS 1751 for Routers
Cisco networking devices use the Cisco proprietary Internetwork Operating System, or IOS, as the platform operating system. A Cisco network device's IOS must be upgraded periodically to apply security patches and detect fixes. The IOS may also need to be upgraded if the network infrastructure requirements have changed and now require additional features to handle new types of protocols and traffic. Use the TFTP protocol and telnet to connect to a Cisco 1751 router and upgrade the IOS.
