How to Customize Neon Sunglasses
Neon sunglasses are colorful sunglasses that feature thick plastic frames. While they are bright and bold, they often only come in a single solid color. If you want to add a funky touch to your neon sunglasses, there are a few things you can do at home with simple craft supplies that will completely customize them. And since it's so simple, the project doesn't require extensive craft skills.

1
Completely cover the lenses of the neon sunglasses with pieces of masking tape. Make sure to put a few layers on to ensure that nothing will leak through and damage the lenses.
-
2
Draw designs on the frames of the neon sunglasses using paint pens. Shake the pens before use, then use just like you would a marker to create dots, stripes, text or shapes like diamonds, hearts or stars. Allow the paint to dry completely.

3
Spray the neon sunglasses frames with some sealant to ensure that the paint won't fade or smear. Allow to dry and bend the legs back and forth to unstick the hinges.
-
4
Apply rhinestones that have adhesive backings to the glasses frames wherever you'd like for there to be extra sparkle. Use a pair of tweezers to remove the backing, pick them up and press them into the frame to stick.
You can add to the designs you previously painted or create a new design by outlining the lenses or placing the stones in random spots around the frames.

Use super glue to secure any other small embellishments that you'd like to add, such as buttons or small craft jewels. Allow the glue to dry before wearing the sunglasses.
