How to Locate an Unknown Point on a Map by Intersections
You may not know the address, but as long as you know the names of streets forming an intersection, you can find that point on a map using the Internet. This is especially useful for finding remote spots for camping or newly built homes that may not have an address available for searching on the Internet. Apply this method and mark your map for future reference of this unknown point on the map.

1
Open a Web browser. Type the names of two streets, if available, into a search engine, such as Google Maps or Yahoo Maps, two popular map search engines as of 2010.
-
2
Plug in an intersection on a GPS, such as TomTom, and the unknown spot will come up on the map, even without an address.
-
-
3
Get directions by clicking on the words "Directions" on the map search engine homepage. It will calculate the directions from your location to the point on the map that you seek to determine.
-

Tips & Warnings
Try Google Earth to zoom in for a satellite view of the unknown point. This view can be helpful to determine physical characteristics of the land you can identify when trying to locate it later.
