How to Make a Good Flash Mobile Game

Create your game with the correct screen size for the platform of the handheld for which your game is being created. Common sizes include 176 x 208 and 240 x 320. Bitmap images and pixel fonts looks distorted when scaled.

Create intuitive navigation. Users expect joystick and key presses to work across all of the games that they play. Best practice is that the game should be playable using the four-way joypad, without requiring key presses.

Give incentives to users to continue to play like a measurement of their progress and the ability to compare their score with other players.

Use the right font. Decorative fonts will increase your file size and could appear distorted. If you do use a decorative font, keep it to a large part of the screen. Avoid setting any font to bold, keep your font left aligned and maintain font sizes in multiples of 8 such as; 16, 24 and 32.
