How to Upgrade Calendar Labels to Color Categories

Outlook color categories give users the ability to add colors to their Outlook calendar, allowing you to visually identify appointments and events by color. When upgraded, the color categories are immediately applied to the Outlook labels and are visible where categories are used in Outlook.

Instructions

      Open Outlook 2007 and click the "File" tab. Select "Open" and "Outlook Data File." Browse the files and locate the personal information file that you want to upgrade. Click the file and select "OK." The personal information file opens and appears in the Navigation Pane.

      Right click the personal information file and select "Properties." The Archive Folders dialog box opens.

      Click the "Upgrade To Color Categories" button. Click "Yes" to confirm the upgrade. Click "OK." The calendar labels are updated to color categories.
