How do I Repair a Tire Blowout?
Sometimes, no matter how careful you are, you may have to repair a blown-out tire. A blown-out tire has exploded and your repair will consist of removing the blown tire off your car and replacing it with a new tire. The new tire is typically your vehicle's spare tire.
Instructions

1
Turn off your vehicle, engage the emergency brake and put it in "Park" or in gear, if your vehicle has a manual transmission.
-
2
Loosen the lug nuts on the blown-out tire with your tire iron, turning counterclockwise.
-
-
3
Raise the corner of the vehicle with the blown out tire using your jack. Some vehicles have specific jack points, while others will require you to position the jack under a sturdy point, typically an axle or some portion of the frame, so as to not damage the car when it is raised.
-
4
Remove the lug nuts you loosened in Step 2 and set them aside, then take the tire off the vehicle.
-
5
Place the spare tire onto the now-empty wheel hub and replace the lug nuts. Hand-tighten the nuts, turning counterclockwise.
-
6
Lower the vehicle with the jack just enough so the new tire is touching the ground, but not bearing the full weight of the vehicle.
-
7
Tighten the lug nuts with the the tire iron, turning clockwise, then lower the vehicle to the ground.
