Set up your AT&T DSL service in your computer's AirPort or Network settings.

Your AT&T DSL high-speed Internet requires manual configuration before you can connect to the Internet. Whereas a Windows 7-based PC provides access to the Internet preferences directly through the Network & Internet menu, located on the desktop's taskbar, the AirPort menu is the main location for manual high-speed Internet configuration on a Mac.

Instructions

  1. PC Setup

    • 1

      Click the signal bar icon on your PC desktop's taskbar, and click the name of your 2Wire network. The name of your 2Wire network is "2Wire" followed by the last three digits on your wireless modem.

      Click "Connect" and enter the wireless encryption key into the "Security Key" field. The wireless key is located on the side of the modem.

      Click "OK," which connects your computer to the high-speed modem. The orange dot on the signal bar's icon is removed when your computer successfully connects to the Internet.

    Macintosh Setup

      Click the "AirPort" icon on the top of your desktop menu, and click "Turn AirPort On."

      Click the "AirPort" icon, and click the name of your 2Wire network. The name of your 2Wire network is "2Wire" followed by the last three digits on your wireless modem.

      Enter the wireless encryption key, located on the side of your modem, and click "OK."
