How to Improve Bad English Communication
English is a notoriously difficult language to learn. It has random phonetic constructions which are used arbitrarily. There are no standard rules for verb conjugation. Also, many unintuitive idioms are used in everyday English conversation. Untold numbers of people, however, have successfully acquired full fluency in English as their second language. You can do this by immersing yourself in the language as much as you can. This will improve your communication skills by becoming more familiar and comfortable with using English in conversation.

Watch children's shows. This is not patronizing advice. The goal of many children's shows is twofold: to teach a child their first language and provide general education. While you already possess the knowledge appropriate to your age and experience, you don't know how to express it properly in English. Watching these shows can help you with the fundamentals of conversational structure and appropriate phrases for basic situations.

2
Watch English language situational comedies (sitcoms) on television. Sitcoms are geared toward wide audiences and use lower diction (word choice) than many other shows. They include a lot of basic communication between the characters, so you can hear the same phrases repeatedly. Sitcoms also deal with a variety of topics, so it will be a chance to expand your vocabulary.

Find a conversation buddy program where each buddy is fluent in a different language and wants to learn another language. This is a useful opportunity to practice and receive real time feedback on your language usage. Many people feel self conscious simply talking to someone already fluent in a language they are struggling to learn. If you help your partner in the same way your partner is helping you, then the environment becomes a much friendlier for both people to take risks and make mistakes in a new language.

4
Look for English as a second language classes in your area. These provide instructors trained to teach English to those learning it as their non-native language. The classes are a helpful forum to be able to practice and improve your communication skills in a safe environment with other English learners. Additionally, you can find ESL materials on the Internet.
