How to Use a Flex Wrench
When working on a car, it can be hard to understand how the manufacturer was able to put it together in the first place. Most of the bolts are in positions that are nearly impossible to reach with a socket set or set of box wrenches. If you can get the head over the bolt, there is often not enough room to effectively swing the wrench to loosen it. For bolts in tight places, use a flex wrench. These wrenches have adjustable angle box heads, lined to increase gripping that will make the job easier.
Instructions

1
Pick a flex wrench from the set that fits the head of the bolt to be removed.
-
2
Adjust the flex end so it is in the best position to reach the bolt and fit securely on the head. Do this by manually moving the flex end on its hinge. Some types of flex wrenches have a locking mechanism which looks like a small lever on the wrench near the head. Flip the lever to the "Open" position and adjust the head. Return the lever to the "Locked" position to secure the angle needed.

Fit the box end of the flex wrench over the bolt head. Use the wrench arm as a handle to turn the box end clockwise to tighten the bolt or counterclockwise to loosen it. Pull the wrench off the bolt head when done.

Tips & Warnings
Tap the arm of the wrench with a hammer to loosen stuck bolts. Once freed, continue turning the wrench by hand.
Do not strike the flex wrench at the hinge to loosen stubborn bolts, as this can damage the hinge pin or screw and ruin the wrench.
