How to Convert a Windows Mobile Program to Windows CE

Microsoft Windows CE is an operating system used on minimalistic computers and devices. It is optimized for devices that require little storage, such as Windows mobile or Pocket PCs. In addition, it is distributed to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) with the capability to modify and distribute Windows CE with features that suit their client's requirements. If you wish to convert a Windows Mobile program to other formats, this can be initiated using a CE converter software application.

Instructions

1. Download and install Windows CE Services File Converter (see Resources.)

2. Plug the device with the Windows Mobile program into the computer.

3. Open the Windows Explorer application.

4. Locate the files you wish to convert. Right-click the file.

5. Click "Convert To/From Mobile Device Format." You have now converted a Windows Mobile program to Windows CE.
