How to Replace a Bryant Circuit Breaker

Power panels are the common place to find circuit breakers.

Replacing a breaker involves opening the power panel, accessing the wiring chamber, removing the defective breaker, installing the new breaker, and closing the power panel back up. Instructions

1. Shut off the power at the main breaker inside the main power panel. Unscrew the bolts holding the breaker cover in place. Remove the breaker cover and set it on the floor or ground, depending on where the power panel is located.

2. Use a large screwdriver to pry out the defective Bryant circuit breaker. Loosen the terminal screw on the breaker and remove the black wire. Insert the black wire into the terminal screw of the new Bryant circuit breaker and tighten it.

3. Push the new breaker back into the old position of the power panel. Replace the beaker cover and reinsert the breaker cover screws. Tighten the screws and turn the main power breaker back on.
