Make a Peace Sign on Facebook

Inserting peace signs, smiley faces and other symbols into your Facebook messages, chat comments, wall posts and status updates is easy to do. The signs and symbols you can use originate from symbols and signs that were written into the HTML framework. While Facebook doesn't use or allow HTML in its postings, you can still copy and paste the compatible symbols and they will work the same.

Instructions

    • 1

Launch Google and search for "☮" (without the quotes). This is the HTML code for a peace symbol. Press "Enter" to begin the search.

    • 2

Highlight the peace symbol in the search result. Press "Ctrl" and "C" simultaneously to copy it.

    • 3

Navigate to Facebook. Start a comment, status update or message where you want to use the peace sign.

    • 4

Press "Ctrl" and "V" simultaneously to paste the peace sign.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you do not want to use Google to make the conversion you can use another website. Navigate to the Decimal, Hexadecimal Character Codes in HTML website. Type "☮" (without the quotation marks) into the "Decimal Codes to Characters" box and click "Decimal Codes to Characters." Copy the peace sign from the text box.
