How to Draw a Wolf Spider
If you are drawing a picture of a scary Halloween scene or woodland habitat, you can add in a creepy wolf spider into your drawing. The wolf spider is a poisonous spider that is both large and menacing (reference 2). In order to make the wolf spider drawing appear realistic, it is helpful to follow step-by-step guidelines that will walk you through making the structure of the spider.

1
Draw a circle onto your drawing paper using a pencil. It can be any size you want your spider to be. This is the wolf spider's abdomen.
-
2
Starting at the center of the circle, draw a pentagon slightly overlapping the circle that is the same size as the circle. This is the Wolf spider's cephalothorax.
-
-
3
Draw eight legs onto the spider, placing four lines on both sides of the spider.
-
4
Draw tapered cylinders around each leg to make them look thicker, like a wolf spider's legs.
-
5
Draw two small ovals onto the front of the cephalothorax. These will be the mandibles of the wolf spider.
-
6
Draw a vertical cylinder on the outer side of each mandible. These will be the wolf spider's pedipalps, or feelers, which the spider uses to grasp food.
-
7
Draw eight small circles onto the top of the cephalothorax. Arrange the circles so that there are two rows of four. These will be the wolf spider's eyes.
-
8
Shade in the edges of the lines to make the spider appear as if it is in the shadows.
