How to Transfer Online TV From a Computer to a Television With Wireless

Because of the increasing video content available online, people are giving up their cable and satellite TV service. The issue then becomes how to put the online content onto the TV from the computer and how to do it without making a mess of wires and cables. This can be done by either building a media PC or by purchasing a stand-alone box that connects to your Internet and your TV. If you are not quite ready for that step, however, you can wirelessly connect your computer to your TV.

Instructions

1. Connect a wireless device to your computer and the TV that will transmit the video signal wirelessly. One such device is the DVD anywhere x10 device. A transmitter connects to an open USB port on your computer. You can connect a receiver to the video input in the TV.

2. Play the online TV program on your computer. Use the software that came with the device to configure any broadcast settings to transmit the video.

3. Turn the TV on, and change what is showing by clicking the input or similar button to choose the input where the receiver is connected.
