How to Separate an Invisible Zipper
An invisible zipper is designed to hide the zipper tracks, or make it look like a zipper isn't in use. Invisible zippers were originally designed to be used in costumes, however today they are commonly used on vests, jackets, skirts and dresses. Invisible zippers work in the same way a normal zipper does, however, due to the excess fabric placed over the zipper track, it's not uncommon for the zipper to become stuck between the fabric and zipper track. Also, through repeated use, the zipper can simply become stuck. When a zipper is stuck, whether due to excess fabric or age, care should be taken to free the zipper while not damaging the zipper, track or fabric. Does this Spark an idea?

Pull the zipper gently downward to separate the zipper.

Stop pulling the zipper when it won't go down any further. Do not attempt to pull it further, as this can cause it to separate from the zipper track.

Pull the zipper upward to zip or reconnect the zipper.

Stop pulling once you feel the zipper stuck. Continuing to pull can break the zipper or tear the fabric.

Examine the zipper to see where the fabric is stuck.

Hold the zipper in place with one hand while gently pulling the fabric from between the zipper and the track.

Push the fabric out of the way and gently zip the invisible zip up or downward to prevent further fabric from getting stuck.

Stop pulling once you feel the zipper stuck. Continuing to pull can break the zipper or the teeth on a track.

Dip a corner of a soft cloth in white vinegar. Rub the vinegar along the zipper track and into the zipper. Allow the vinegar to soak on the track for an hour. The acid in the vinegar will help dissolve any build-up or particles that are causing the problem.

Pull the zipper downward gently. If the zipper does not budge, repeat the process until it move. Eventually, it will move.

Tips & Warnings
If you do not have vinegar available and you need to remove the item of clothing immediately, liquid soap can be rubbed along the zipper and zipper track to help move the zipper downward. However, once off, the zipper and track should be cleaned with white vinegar to remove impurities and soap residue.
