How Do I Change a Shared Mailbox to Resource?
A shared mailbox is not typically associated with a single user. It is shared among multiple users registered on your Exchange server. A resource mailbox, on the other hand, is used for scheduling resources within your company. Resource mailboxes are often used to assign meeting locations and reserve equipment. You may want to convert a shared mailbox to a resource mailbox if you move your resource mailbox from Microsoft Exchange Server 2003/2000 to Microsoft Exchange Server 2007. Note that you will need administrative rights to perform this task.
