Tire shine is one of many exterior cleaning supplies you can use to add extra luster to your car. Instructions

    • 1

Mix 2 tablespoons of dish-washing detergent with 4 cups of water.

    • 2

Clean the chrome wheels using a soft sponge and the solution you mixed earlier. Wipe all of the tire shine off of the wheels.

    • 3

Rinse the detergent solution off of the chrome using clean water.

    • 4

Dry the chrome with a clean, terry cloth towel.

    • 5

Check for any remaining tire shine on the chrome. It will be a grease-like residue left on the wheel. If there is still some excess tire shine on the chrome, repeat Steps 1 through 4.

Tips & Warnings

  • Always wipe off tire shine as soon as it gets onto your chrome. Tire shine left on your chrome will dry and evaporate, but not before damaging the chrome. If this happens, there is no way to remove the damage without resurfacing the wheel.
