How to Fix a Fatal Application Error with the Mio C220

When a severe software issue occurs on your Mio DigiWalker C220 portable GPS navigator, the device advises you of the problem via a fatal application error message on the touch screen. In some cases, the message states that the unit will automatically shut down, but instead the unit remains on and the screen freezes. When this happens, you must hard-reset or reboot the Mio to fix the issue. As with many other electronics, your Mio C220 navigation system reboots via the unit's "Power" button.

Instructions

1. Press and hold the "Power" button on top of your Mio DigiWalker C220 for at least 10 seconds, or until the touch screen turns off.

2. Stop depressing the button after the touch screen shuts down. Wait 20 seconds.

3. Push and hold the button again for 10 seconds to turn the C220 back on, and begin using it. If necessary, select your language and the date and time when prompted.
