The Swann DVR4-1000 Instructions
Australian do-it-yourself security products manufacturer Swann produces an affordable, easy-to-set-up DVR (digital video recorder) that can be used to record incidents. The DVR4-1000 can record four channels of video at a time, meaning you can use it with four cameras. The DVR has night-motion-detection capability to 30-feet, a 160 GB hard drive, viewing quality of 380 TV lines and a weather-resistant case. Connect the camera cables at the cameras to the included extension cables. Then connect the BNC connections from the camera extension cables to the four ports at the back of the DVR. Connect the power ends of the extension cable to the power splitters and the power splitter to the power outlet. Plug the DVR into the power outlet.

Connect the DVR to a television, using the included BNC to yellow RCA cable. Tune the television to the source input you are using with the "Input" button on the television's remote.

Set the record schedule by turning on the DVR on and pushing the "Menu" button on the front of the DVR. Move the cursor down to "Record Scheduling" with the Down arrow and then press "Enter."

Move the cursor left and right to choose the type of recording. "T" represents normal record, "M" represents Motion Record, and the dash represents No Recording. The linear programming display is based on a 24-hour clock. The DVR4-1000 will record on the schedule that you've set.

Press the "Stop" button to stop recording, and then press the "Play," "Reverse" and "Forward" buttons to view the incidents recorded.
