How to Recycle Eco Solvent Ink Cartridges

The development of eco-solvent ink cartridges focuses on designing products that have less harm on the environment. Ink cartridge-recycling facilities clean and refill the majority of cartridges they receive. They dismantle cartridges they cannot refill and recycle the parts for use in new products. They also transform unused ink into a solid material that they can dispose with less environmental damage than liquid ink. Some of these facilities accept eco-solvent ink cartridges for recycling.

Seal the eco-solvent printer ink cartridge in a plastic bag to meet shipping standards if you will be mailing the cartridge. Pack it in a box for shipping and seal the box with packing tape.

Print a shipping label from the company website, if your recycling company offers this option. If the ink cartridge-recycling program does not offer this, address the box by hand.
