How to Find If There Is Money Being Held for Me
If a company is unable to locate you to pay money that it owes you, it has to turn the money over to the state. This includes past employers, utility companies, banks and any other company that owes you money. After the money has been turned over to the state, it is held until you come forth to claim it. Each state has a protocol in place for you to find money that is being held for you.
