KVM Won't Recognize a Wireless Mouse and Keyboard
The KVM switch is a USB host that allows users to connect more than one USB device to one USB port on a computer. If you are using a KVM switch with a wireless mouse and keyboard, you need updated firmware to get the switch to recognize the mouse and keyboard. You can update the firmware by using Microsoft Windows Update. This program will connect to the Internet and download the updated firmware you need.

Connect your wireless mouse and keyboard receiver to the KVM switch. Connect the KVM switch to the USB port on your computer.

Connect your computer to the Internet through a wireless router or a cable modem.

Click the "Start" button, click "All Programs" and then click on "Windows Update."

Click the "Check for updates" button and wait for the computer to scan for updates.

Click the "Install Updates" button.

Restart your computer after the updates install to allow the firmware to take effect.
