      Leave the fruit out on the counter for several hours to bring it to room temperature.

      Place the fruit in the microwave for 15 seconds to help release more juice.

      Roll the fruit on the counter top for about 10 seconds while applying slight pressure with the palm of your hand.

      Slice the fruit in half.

      Place the freshly cut flat side of one of the halves on top of a manual juicer. Press down as you turn the fruit back and forth to release the juice. Most juicers have a lip that will catch seeds and large pulp.

      Remove seeds and any unwanted pulp before consuming the juice or adding it to a recipe.

Tips & Warnings

  • Lemons and limes are small enough that you can juice them simply by cutting them in half and squeezing, although using a juicer usually renders more liquid.
