How to Make a P90X Chin-Up Bar

Putting together the P90X chin-up bar requires some assembly, but you will have an in-home exercise device in no time with the help of the manufacturer's instructions. With 12 separate grip locations, it's only natural that making a P90X chin-up bar is more complex than a typical exercise bar. The P90X bar is designed to fit in a residential doorways that are 24-inches to 32-inches wide. The bar will support an adult up to 300 lbs.

  • 8 large screws

Instructions

      Connect the top of the chin-up bar, the piece that goes over the trim of the door and is designated Piece 1 on the P90X instructions, with piece 2, the curved pieces that slope downward, using two of the nuts and two of the small screws.

      Slide together that bars marked 2 and 3. The bar 3s are shaped like a "U."

      Place bar 5 horizontally over the locations in which bars 2 and 3 slid and connected together. Then, using four large screws and four nuts, secure it into the designated screw holes.

      Place bars 4 over the bottom of the "U" shaped bar 3s, where the screw holes are located. Secure in place with two large screws and two nuts.
