1
Shut off the water to the sink by closing both water valves under the sink.
-
2
Remove the handle of the Delta faucet by loosening the small "set screw" in the front of the handle with an Allen wrench. Slide off the handle once this screw is taken out.

3
Take the bonnet cover and bonnet cap off. The bonnet cover and cap twist by hand and slide off in most cases. To loosen a stuck bonnet cap, use a pair of pliers and twist the cap to the left. Then hand-loosen it the rest of the way.

4
Pull out the cartridge inside of the faucet handle and insert a new one by sliding it into the handle. Line up the grooves on the side of the cartridge with those on the side of the handle. Replace the bonnet nut and hand-tighten it by turning it to the right. Then replace the bonnet cap and tighten it by hand in the same way.

5
Replace the faucet handle and install the set screw, tightening it with the Allen wrench.
