How to Transfer Probation to Another County in California
In California, the Superior Court sentences individuals to probation. A person on probation is supervised in their California county of residence for a predetermined period of time by a probation officer hired by the county. Probation differs from parole, where individuals are released from the California penal system and supervised by parole officers hired by the state. Make a request to your probation officer to transfer your probation to another county. Do not make any changes until you have been informed your request was granted.
