How to Install Kitchen Faucet Lines
One of the last steps in installing a new kitchen faucet is connecting the faucet lines. These lines run from the water supply valves underneath the kitchen sink up to the underside of the kitchen faucet. Couplings at either end fasten the line in place to the water supply valves and the underside of the kitchen faucet. Installing kitchen faucet lines is a fairly simple procedure that doesn't require any special tools or knowledge. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Shut off the water supply valve for the kitchen faucet where you are installing the lines. The faucet supply valves are located on the underside of the kitchen sink. Rotate the knobs on the end clockwise until they stop to turn off the water supply.
-
2
Wrap the outlets on the water supply valves with plumber's tape. Make at least two turns around the outlet threads, pulling the tape tightly as you do so. Trim off the excess. Do this for both the hot and cold water supply.

3
Wrap the inlets on the underside of the kitchen sink with the plumber's tape in the same manner as the supply valve inlets.
-
4
Connect the metal coupling on one of the supply hoses to the outlet on the hot water supply valve. Tighten with the wrench. The hot water supply valve can be identified by the "H" etched into the supply knob or it will be colored red. Connect the plastic end of the line to the underside of the hot water inlet on the kitchen sink. Tighten with the pliers. Repeat the process for the cold water supply line.

5
Turn on the water supply for the kitchen sink by rotating the supply knobs counterclockwise.
-
6
Open the kitchen sink tap and run water in the sink. Check the lines below for leaks and tighten any couplings if necessary.
