How to Turn on Tabbed Browsing

Tabbed browsing is a feature of Internet Explorer that allows a user to have multiple web pages open at once all in the same window. By turning on the Tabbed Browsing feature, you can switch between web pages by clicking the "Tabs" located at the top of the browsing window. This feature can be accessed and turned on through Internet Explorer.

      Double-click the Internet Explorer icon on the desktop to launch the web browser.

      Click the "Tools" drop-down box located in the upper right-hand side of the browser.

      Click "Internet Options" in the "Tools" drop-down menu.

      Click the "General" tab in the "Internet Options" pop-up window that appears.

      Click the "Settings" button in the "Tab" section of the "General" tab.

      Click the box located next to "Enable Tabbed Browsing" to check mark it, then click "OK" twice.

      Click the red "X" in the upper right-hand side of Internet Explorer to close it.

      Double-click the Internet Explorer shortcut on the desktop to open the browser once more. The Tabbed Browsing feature is now turned on.
