How to Get Coke Points Faster
The Coca-Cola Co. began its My Coke Rewards program in 2006 to boost customer loyalty. Customers can enter codes found on bottle caps and packages of Coke products into their accounts. The codes translate into points that can be redeemed for prizes. Rewards were valued at more than $50 million, said Katie Bayne, Coke senior vice president. With many rewards worth hundreds of points, customers often look for ways to collect codes quickly. Does this Spark an idea?

Do not limit yourself to Coke's soft drink products. Codes can be found on 13 brands of drinks produced by Coca-Cola, including Dasani water, Minute Maid juices and Powerade sports drinks. Codes can be found on single items on the underside of the bottle caps, and on multi-packs on the inside of the packaging.

Ask friends and family to help. Many people do not participate in the My Coke Rewards program because they do not drink enough Coke products or because they do not want to spend time logging codes into their account. However, they might be willing to collect their codes and pass them along to you.

Look for empty drink bottles at trash cans in parks and malls. Although many people do not find the idea of "dumpster-diving" appealing, picking bottles off the top of trash cans can be an easy way to rack up points.

Coordinate a recycling program at your place of work. Many people throw their bottles into recycling bins, and you can collect the codes off the lids before they're sent to the recycling center.

Take advantage of bonus points. Periodically, My Coke Rewards offers bonus-points days on which certain codes are worth extra points. Sign up to receive email notifications from the program so you know when you should save specific codes.

Watch for special promotions. For example, when McDonald's holds its Monopoly promotion, one of the instant-win prizes is a bundle of My Coke Rewards. You can add these points to your My Coke Rewards account. If your non-participating friends and family know you are collecting Coke points, they can pass their codes to you.
