How to Open a Garmin GPS MAP76

Before taking your Garmin GPS MAP 76 with you on a trip, you should learn how to operate it, including changing the batteries. This process will involve opening the Garmin GPS MAP 76.

Instructions

1. Flip the Garmin GPS MAP 76 over. The back side is where you will be opening it from.

2. Turn the D-ring on the back of the Garmin GPS MAP 76. You only need to turn it about ¼ of the way, but it needs to be in a counterclockwise motion.

3. Pull gently on the back cover to remove it. Turning the D-ring will have loosened it enough to be removed.

Tips & Warnings

• You can open the entire back of the Garmin GPS MAP 76 by unscrewing the four screws in either corner. However, you should be aware that this will void your warranty and could damage your GPS MAP 76, according to Garmin.
