You can upgrade an SSD in an Eee computer to increase storage.

Eee netbook computers from Asus offer customers a chance to save on energy costs and come in a tiny size. However, these small PCs also possess a tiny amount of storage space. This type of PC comes with a built-in SSD (solid-state drive) that can hold about 20 gigabytes of data. To upgrade your SSD device, you can use a screwdriver and flash drive.

Instructions

    • 1

Power off your PC. Remove its plug from the wall and take out the battery.

    • 2

Find the cover of your SSD right beneath the battery. It contains four screws; unscrew them with your Phillips head screwdriver.

    • 3

Loosen the screws of your SSD device and remove it. Then put a new drive in its place.

    • 4

Put your battery back in your computer and also put the cover back on the device.

    • 5

Perform a reinstallation of your PC's operating system via a USB (Universal Serial Bus) flash drive and Windows compact disc.
