How to Make Tulle Princess Wands
Watching your little one's face light up with delight as she waves around her new princess wand made from tulle makes the experience of creating it worthwhile. Tulle is a sheer fabric commonly found on ballet tutus. The fabric also has use in costumes and accessories to add a whimsical element. Making a tulle princess wand is a simple task for anyone with basic crafting skills.

Cut 16 pieces of 6-by-4 inch tulle with scissors.

Form two even stacks of tulle with eight pieces in each.

Cut four 10-inch strips of colored ribbon. Cloth is the most durable, but you can also use gift-wrapping ribbon.

Tie two ribbons around the center of each pile of tulle, causing it to bunch together in the middle and spread out at the ends.

Place the two bunches of tulle on top of each other, with one facing horizontally and the other vertically.

Use the ends of the ribbons from each bunch to tie the two bunches together in the center.

Spread the tulle out until it forms the shape of a puffy ball.

Paint a 2-foot long wooden dowel to match the colors of the tulle or ribbon.

Use a hot glue gun to place a dab of glue in the center of the tulle puff and press the wood dowel into place.

Tips & Warnings
Add additional adornments to the wand like glitter, sequins or extra ribbon if desired.
Vary the dimensions of the items to create a larger or smaller wand.
