How to Use a Cassette Adapter in a Chevrolet
A cassette adapter is a device that resembles a cassette and can be played through a cassette deck. However, the cassette adapter does not contain any audio media; instead, a cable with a 3.5mm auxiliary connection from the cassette is the source for the audio. The cable can be plugged into a CD or MP3 player, and the audio signals will then play through the Chevrolet's cassette deck. This is a handy way for drivers with older stereos in their Chevrolet vehicles to connect and play newer devices. Cassette adapters are inexpensive (usually less than $10) and readily available at most electronic stores.

Tips & Warnings
Some cassette adapters, radio and devices (CD, MP3 players) have better quality if the volume on the device is lower (half volume); others sound better with devices at full volume. Play with the device and stereo and see what sounds best.
