How to Repair a Pantech Matrix

Your Pantech Matrix device, like any mobile phone, may start to experience performance issues. If so, you can try a master clear to try and correct the issue. The master clear restores the device to its factory settings, which means it's returned to the state it was in when you turned the device on for the first time. To perform the master clear, there are several menu options you need to navigate through.

Instructions

1. Press the "Start" button on the device's "Standby" screen.

2. Select the "All Programs" option.

3. Scroll to "Settings" and select it.

4. Scroll down and select "More."

5. Select "Security," then scroll down and select "More."

6. Select "Master Clear," then select "Yes."

Tips & Warnings

• You can try a soft reset of the device by simply turning it off, then turning it back on.

• The phone may not function for up to 15 minutes after performing the master clear.

• A master clear restores the device to its factory settings, erasing any changes you've made to it, including deleting programs or apps you've downloaded.
