If you like giving your opinion upon request, you can begin making money by completing online surveys. Many companies utilize surveys to find out what consumers like or dislike about their products. The companies then use that information to make improvements on their products. Each survey you complete will earn you a between $2 and $10. The more surveys you take, the more cash you can put in your pocket.

Sign up for as many legitimate survey companies as you can. Ispos, American Consumer Opinion and Survey Savvy are highly respected companies to start off with. To find out if other companies are legitimate, check them with the Better Business Bureau.

Complete your profile with each survey company. This is nothing more than a large survey that will help the company match you with upcoming surveys. For example, if you have children between the ages of three and eight, you may get picked to do a survey about a new children's television show. If you have a dog, you may get selected to share your opinion about your favorite brand of dog food.

Check your email account once per day to see if you have any pre-screening questionnaires. These questionnaires are short and are often used to see whether you fit the requested profile of the company doing the survey. You may have mentioned in your profile that you were on a diet, and thus are issued a pre-screening questionnaire on the subject. The company, however, may only be looking for vegetarian dieters. The pre-screening questionnaire will then take the results and use them to send only the vegetarian dieters the paid survey.

Finish all surveys as soon as you get them. Surveys do expire after a few days. You must fully complete each survey to get paid. Most surveys take between 10 and 20 minutes.

Review each companies payment procedure. This information can be found on the company's FAQ page. Some companies require you to request your payout, while others send you a check automatically. Some companies also have a minimum payout that you must reach to request a check.

Never pay for a list of legitimate survey companies, or to join a survey company.
It is a good idea to set up a separate email account for your surveys.
You won't get rich taking surveys, but the extra cash can come in handy.
