Creative Zen users can rip CDs onto their MP3 players.

Creative Zen is line of ultra-portable MP3 players developed by Creative Media Technologies. With Creative Zen MP3 players, you can store, transfer, organize and edit your audio files between your personal computer and your MP3 player using the proprietary Creative Zen software. This software also allows you to rip CDs onto your MP3 player using your computer's CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive. It's an easy and simple process to install the Creative Zen software on your computer.

Instructions

    • 1

Insert the CD that came with your Creative Zen MP3 player in your computer's CD-ROM or DVD drive. The installation process should begin automatically.

    • 2

If the software does not begin installation automatically, start it manually. Click the "Start" button, then click "Run." Click the "Browse" button and navigate to the optical drive on your system. Typically this will be the "D" or "E" drive. Double-click on the drive's folder, which should include the Creative name somewhere in the title. Keep double-clicking on the sub-directories until you find a file named "Setup." Double-click on that to begin the manual installation.

    • 3

Install the program. Follow the on-screen instructions to install and configure the software on your PC. Some Creative Zen drivers require a firmware upgrade if your computer is running Windows Vista; if prompted to upgrade the firmware, follow the on-screen instructions for that.

    • 4

Reboot your computer if prompted to do so. You can now connect your Creative Zen MP3 player to your computer using the included cables and begin loading your music library.

Tips & Warnings
