How to Burn a Ripped Movie Back to a DVD With MacTheRipper

How to Burn a Ripped Movie Back to a DVD With MacTheRipper thumbnail
You can burn ripped movies to a DVD using your Mac.

MacTheRipper copies video files from DVDs and decrypts the movies so that you can burn copies of them. After it copies the DVD's files to a folder you select on your hard drive, MacTheRipper saves the video files in a folder called VIDEO_TS. Because the video files do not have encryption, you can burn the files to a DVD using your Mac without needing any additional software.

Instructions

    • 1

Locate the VIDEO_TS folder where MacTheRipper saved your ripped DVD. Create an AUDIO_TS folder if MacTheRipper did not create one. Insert a blank DVD in your computer's DVD burner and double-click the disc icon that appears on your desktop.

    • 2

Drag the VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS folders to the window for the DVD. Select "File" and click "Burn Disc."

    • 3

Choose a name for the disc in the window that appears and click "Burn" to burn the DVD.
