How to Edit a Shortcut in Windows Mobile

The newest incarnation of Windows Mobile, Windows Mobile 7, takes a lot of its cues from the desktop version of Windows 7. Like the desktop version, it allows you to "pin" items to your "Start" menu to act as a shortcut. The phone comes with preinstalled shortcuts, but you can make edits to the group as it fits your needs.

Tips & Warnings

  • Adding, repositioning and deleting a Windows 7 shortcut are the only options available. You can't change the properties of a shortcut beyond the position. If you would like to change the properties, you delete the original shortcut and replace it with a new one.

  • The Windows Mobile interface may vary depending on the brand and model of the phone you are using. If you are looking for specific information regarding a particular phone, then consult the user manual for that phone.
