Opera is one of several web browsers that you can use for searching the Internet. Opera originated the new tab page filled with your favorite/most recent web pages, later adopted by Google Chrome and Apple Safari. This feature, known as Speed Dial, is customizable in Opera, allowing users to set a custom background image. The process of changing the Opera Speed Dial wallpaper is extremely simple. Open the Opera web browser. Navigate to the location of the new image you wish to set as the wallpaper. The wallpaper can be just about any image you come across online (larger images will look better; smaller images will be stretched or tiled). See the Resources below for a few directories featuring Opera wallpapers.

Right-click the image.

Select "Use Image as Speed Dial Background." The Opera wallpaper will change. If you wish to set your computer's desktop background, simply select "Use Image on Desktop."
