How to Install Garmin in a Subaru Forester

Many Garmin GPS devices come equipped with a windshield mount that adheres to the windshield of your vehicle by way of a large plastic suction cup. Mounting a Garmin GPS device in your Subaru Forrester is a quick procedure that can be completed in a few minutes without any tools. All you will need is the device itself and the windshield mount that comes with it.

Things You'll Need

• Garmin GPS device
• Garmin windshield mount

Instructions

1. Remove the plastic covering from the suction cup.

2. Position the mount on your windshield. Make sure that it does not obscure the driver's view of the road or block access to the dashboard and the steering wheel.

3. Slide the lever at the bottom of the suction cup toward the windshield to secure the mount to the glass.

4. Insert the power cable into the back of the windshield mount.

5. Plug the other end of the power cable into the Subaru's cigarette lighter or included power source.

6. Place the Garmin GPS device into the bottom of the mount.

7. Push the device toward the windshield and into the top of the mount to snap it into place and complete the installation process.
