Whiteboard ghosting refers to those faint marks left on your whiteboard after erasing the notes that you left for a long time. You will notice the ghost handwriting or drawing even from afar. These marks appear like shadows to your new notes. If you want to remove or clean your whiteboard of these ghosting marks, you can do so in a few easy steps. You will need a few household items to help you finish the task. You do not need to have a professional clean the board for you.
Things You'll Need
- Isopropyl alcohol
- Paper towel
- Clean cloth
- Cotton ball
- Nail polish remover
Using Isopropyl Alcohol
Drop some isopropyl alcohol directly onto the affected area of your whiteboard. Target the area with ghosting.
Use a paper towel to spread the alcohol. Wipe the area with medium force in order to remove the traces of the ghost writing.
Throw away the used paper towels and use a new one to dry the whiteboard thoroughly.
Apply a small amount of toothpaste directly onto your clean washcloth.
Wipe the cloth with toothpaste onto the area of the whiteboard where the ghosting can be seen. Rub with the toothpaste until it is fully clean.
Use the paper towel to remove any hint of toothpaste after cleaning.
Using Nail Polish Remover
Get a cotton ball and dab it lightly into the nail polish remover.
Run the damp cloth over the affected area of the whiteboard, applying some force to scrub away the ghost writing.
Use the dry paper towel to remove any hint of nail polish remover after cleaning.
